Starting a flyer delivery service is something you can do today and make money almost instantly. It is a very no-nonsense, simple business which, thanks to the current economic crisis, is in great demand because it is a cheap and effective way for businesses to reach potential customers.

There are two ways to do it. The simplest way is that you would act strictly as a delivery service. The customers will create their own flyers and then you simply deliver them door-to-door. The second way is for you to design the flyers and have them printed. If you are good at desktop publishing then this is a good way to add value to your service. If not, don't sweat it, your customers probably already have a printer they use and they can have them made there. (BE SURE to have your clients look online for flyer printing companies, there are many of them which are very, very cheap.)

Apart from the flyers, you may need clear plastic door hanger bags and/or rubber bands. There are tons of places online that sell these items so shop around before you buy anything.

Finally, be sure to check to see if there are any local laws regarding handing out flyers. You might need a permit or something. In small towns especially people will call the cops if they see strangers hanging around and if you don't have the permit you could get a ticket.
