BE A FOCUS
GROUP PARTICIPANT |
Focus group participants generally make between $50 and $200 for maybe an hour or two worth of work. This "work" consists of tasting new foods, drinking new beverages, watching commmercials, and giving their opinion on anything you can imagine. It's not a bad gig at all and even though it isn't steady, once you get into it a little bit it could be a nice way to supplement your income. Getting started is easy. Check out the links below and with any luck you should be able to find something near you or at least you should be able to get some leads for the future. If you live in a rural area, Craig's List is probably the best bet for you but go ahead and check them all out. By the way, many focus group companies are looking for kids to help out too so if you have some of your own, you can sign them up so they can make some money too. Craig's List - Go to the listing for your state then click the [ETC] link at the bottom of the jobs section. GreenBook.org - This is something of a mega-directory of focus group companies. Plaza Research - They have offices all over the country, see if there is one near you. FindFocusGroups.com - You can search by city or state (state works best I think). Focus Forward - They have real world focus groups and paid online surveys. You can sign up here. (For hundreds more paid survey companies, subscribe to our newsletter and I'll send you a link to my top secret free site.) |
