You can make a lot of money writing and selling an ebook but if you don't
want to go through all of the trouble of writing one yourself, you can easily
sell one written by someone else and make just as much if not more. The
advantage to selling an ebook written by someone else is that you aren't
tied down - you can easily switch from one product to the next until you
find a winner. If you write one, you are stuck with it until it either succeeds
or goes up in flames. I need to make it clear
that although there is a huge potential to make a ton of money, this is
not some get rich quick scheme and it isn't nearly as easy as some people
will tell you. There are numerous resources online to help you build a
simple website or start a blog but getting traffic to your sites is the
real problem; however, once you master it the sky really is the limit.
To get started, Google
Adwords (a good idea but it can be expensive until you get
the hang of it) or your
own email list are probably the surest ways to get high quality
traffic but really those options are only the beginnig - getting traffic
will ultimately become your full time job and it is an ongoing learning
process. (Be wary of anyone trying to sell you traffic because if it was
any good they'd keep it for themselves.)
Now the good part - You can make a TON of money with ebooks. Once you
get the right mix of products and traffic, you will be unstoppable. Most
ebooks pay a commission of 50% to 75% and on a $100 product it doesn't
take long for that to add up. I wouldn't bother promoting anything under
50% because you can easily make more elsewhere.
To help you
get started I'm going to suggest an ebook that covers the subject of selling
ebooks in depth. It is called The
Clickbank Code and it is probably the most comprehensive
guide to making money with ebooks on the market today.
