SELLING COUPONS |

Now I know that most of you will probably think this is the dumbest idea ever so let's clear up that notion right off the bat. This link will take you to a Craig's List search for coupons in the Los Angeles area. As you can see there is no shortage of people who sell them and believe me, if people weren't buying those listings wouldn't be there. A search of any Craig's List location will reveal similar results. Another place you can sell coupons is on eBay. I would only sell coupons that are worth at least $15 or $20 or more because the fees there will kill you. There are a lot of cheaper coupons on eBay but eBay is full of bottom feeders and frankly my time is worth more than $2.58 per listing and unless you have no money whatsoever, yours is too. You can find coupons in all of the usual places but it would probably be helpful if you told everyone you know to save anything interesting that they find for you. You'd be surprised at how much people are willing to help out and really it isn't like you are asking them to paint your house or something, you just need them to hang on to cool coupons. When you finally find a buyer for your coupons, it is probably most cost effective for them to mail you a check or money order and in turn you can just mail them the coupons. You could use PayPal but like eBay, they have fees and when you are talking about a low dollar item, every penny spent in fees just kills you. In fact, you could even eliminate your postage costs by having your customers send a SASE along with their payment. Interestingly enough, baby formula coupons seem to be extremely popular. I guess that stuff is expensive so if you can get your hands on enough coupons, that might be a good niche in which to specialize. |
